I had always been fascinated by the beauty and culture of Thailand, so when I finally had the chance to visit again, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable adventure. My journey began in Bangkok for a few days then onward to Phuket, where I attended a travel conference. It was amazing to meet up again with other travelers from all over the world and friends who I had met at other travel conferences, there is always something very special about spending time with those who shared the same passion for exploring new places.
Before leaving for Phuket, I visited the famous railway market in Maeklong, where vendors quickly cleared their goods as the train approached, only to set them back up again once it had passed. It was a thrilling and chaotic experience that I would never forget filled with excitement and a super tight fit for the train to pass through. On our adventures in Bangkok, I visited a beautiful beach that was famous for its salt harvesting. I watched as workers carefully collected salt crystals from the ocean water, and learned about the process that went into making this important ingredient.
During our few days in Bangkok, we explored the bustling city and its many markets and temples. I tried new foods and drinks and was constantly amazed by the energy and vibrancy of the city. We traveled to places that supported creativity, sustainability, and positive social impact. Including a meal at Cabbages and Condoms Restaurant.
A few days before the conference, we flew to Phuket and took a boat to the Phi Phi Islands, where we went snorkeling in the ocean. I saw a rainbow of fish and other sea creatures and even caught a glimpse of a sea turtle. The Phi Phi Islands were a paradise, unlike anything I had ever seen before. We enjoyed a fantastic day swimming in the Indian Ocean along the islands, including a short visit to Monkey Island.
During my free time, I explored beautiful Phuket. The crystal-clear water and soft sand were a paradise at the beaches, and I spent hours exploring Phuket from the beaches to Old Towne where I went through an amazing day class with GoPro.
My adventure in Thailand was everything I had hoped for and more. I met new friends, attended the TBEX conference, exploring beautiful beaches, went snorkeling, and saw amazing and beautiful fish. Stunning sunsets and amazing food while spending time with friends only made this trip an experience of the rich culture of the country.
As I boarded my plane back home for my next stop, Seoul, South Korea, I knew that Thailand would always hold a special place in my heart once again.
