Christy Prosser — Founder of 111 Hours Go
Educator | Photojournalist | Global Storyteller | Podcast Host of “Miles from the Known”
After nearly 30 years in education and leadership, balancing lesson plans, deadlines, and daily routines, I realized something that changed everything: you don’t need months off or a sabbatical to see the world. You just need 111 hours.
Our Editorial Standard
“Most routes on 111 Hours Go are personally traveled. Occasionally, we note alternate options — always clearly labeled — for travelers seeking similar experiences.”
That idea became a movement.
111 Hours Go was born from the belief that adventure doesn’t have to wait until retirement. Within the stretch of a long weekend—just 111 hours—you can board a plane, immerse yourself in a new culture, try the best meal of your life, get lost (on purpose), and still be back at your desk by Monday morning… Tuesday at the latest.
As an educator and photojournalist, I’ve traveled to 61+ countries, capturing stories of both history-making moments and quiet, everyday life—from royal coronations and political campaigns to alleyway meals, local festivals, and sunrises that never make headlines but still stay with you forever.
Through my lens and my travels, I’ve learned that meaningful exploration doesn’t require unlimited time; it requires intention.
With 111 Hours Go, I’m building a platform and a community for the everyday adventurer: the teacher, the nurse, the full-time parent, the desk-bound dreamer. The ones who crave the world but live in the rhythm of the 9-to-5.
🎙️ I also host Miles from the Known — a documentary-style podcast exploring belonging, humanity, and the quiet truths found on the road. Each episode tells the stories of resilience and grace found in unexpected places — from Haiti’s tent cities to East Africa’s open roads and the rural South’s quiet strength.
This isn’t just a travel brand. It’s a call to live fully, travel smart, and find big stories in short trips. Whether you’re catching a flight after work Thursday night or mapping out your next 3-day escape, this is your permission slip to go, to explore, to recharge, and to come back changed.
🕓 The clock is ticking. Let’s make the hours count.
